Giverny in Springtime is one of these many paintings Claude Monet created while living in the rural French town in 1881. It depicts an area of the garden when the trees are heavy with pink blossoms and the sky is a deep blue. The colors are bright and playful, with pinks, blues, greens and yellows all being featured. In the Spingtime at Giverny work, the trees appear to be swaying gently in the breeze and the long, lush grasses under the trees provide an inviting resting place. The viewer can imagine warm air and the smell of blossoms.
