Those who are familiar with Vincent van Gogh’s work often cite the buzzing energy of his paintings, as visible in works like “The Starry Night.” But with “Edge of a Wheat Field with Poppies and a Lark,” van Gogh showed a softer side that often came out in paintings created in the final years of his life.
