Description
Claude Monet painted Meadow at Giverny in 1886 during his impressionist movement. Unlike many of his other landscapes, this piece does not have a specific focal point. He used the color, the warm browns and yellows to draw the eye along the horizon line with the trees, while contrasting the deep green grass. The trees to the right of the scene add depth while the light is cast across the slopes of the line showing movement. It gives the piece a warm and inviting autumn feel.
