Description

Description

Claude Monet’s Meadow Road to Pourville, 1882 depicts a summery scene in the seaside resort of Pourville-Sur-Mer, in northern France. This work is one of a series of depictions of this beach, painted during the summer of 1882. In fact, one of Monet’s most famous paintings, Cliffs and Sailboats at Pourville, was painted in the same place. Meadow Road to Pourville, 1882 shows a broad scene with a path to the beach, complete with the artist’s signature light reflection on the water and his rhythmic brushstrokes creating the red-dotted reeds. Monet is considered the father of Impressionist art, and his passion for landscape painting influenced many prolific painters, including Degas and Renoir. The artist’s obsession with the ever-changing nature of light and color guided much of his work. This 100 percent hand-painted Monet reproduction painting has been beautifully recreated detail by detail, color by color to celebrate the original work. It includes a certificate of authenticity from overstockArt.
