Claude Monet painted View at Rouelles Le Havre in 1858. Thought to be Monet’s first professional work, this work of art was created when the artist was only 18 years old. It already shows some of the skill and technique that he would become famous for. The broad brushstrokes used to create the trees and the bushes in the foreground are beginning of his impressionist style.
