Description
Walk in the Meadows at Argenteuil was created by Claude Monet in 1873. Monet paints this scene of his wife and son in a flowering meadow with the light cascading across the background. He contrasts colors of yellow and green in the grass against the Warmer red tones of the flowers. More attention was given to the clouds and the foliage, than the tiny figures because Monet wanted that to be the focus of the painting. It was meant to be an idyllic landscape to view over and over again.
